Festival Gala Celebration

Seven year’s in the making-The Inaugural Wine Country Spoken Word Festival begins with…a party.  Our opening Gala takes place in the heart of historic downtown Petaluma at Della Fattoria’s brand new party space,  Enjoy some wine, finger food and stories from some of our sponsors.  This is ticket only for our VIP’s!!

Friday the 13th Ghost Stories

There’s no better way to celebrate Friday the 13th than gathering ‘round the fire and listening to some good ol’ fashioned Ghost Stories.  Our opening night will culminate at Petaluma’s newest jewel Brewster’s Beer Garden, come hear some of the Wine Country’s Spookiest tellers and maybe enjoy some BBQ and adult beverage. This is part of the VIP pass, the Weekend Pass or can be bought as a Single Ticket for $20.

Saturday Day Festival Events

This has a little of everything, do you like Slams, Swaps & Contests?  Check out the Liar's Contest sponsored by the Storytelling Assoc. of California, or come listen to 5 minute true stories (or tell your own) at West Side Stories Petaluma, check out the Schedule to see our Headliners Steve Connell and Bil Lepp up close.  We have brought together Solo Artists of all forms of spoken word; check out Leslie Scatchard or Akwi Nji telling their own stories or Micky Joseph doing stand-up comedy.   Poetry Out Loud will feature high school students reading poetry or you can go see the Poet-trio; Greg Maher, Giovanni Singleton and Kathleen Winter read their poetry or visit the Write Spot and hear folks reading their own fiction.  There's something for everyone on Saturday day.  Four tickets are included with the VIP Pass or Weekend Pass or you can purchase a single ticket for $10 for each show you want to attend.

This is a thank you for picking this festival to spend your weekend.  Come enjoy some desserts and Sonoma Portworks dessert wine and other treats.  More importantly, come meet our headliners, Bil Lepp, Steve Connell and Sarah Vowell before they hit the stage for our Festival Finale.

SAC for Stories--a Community Conference

Join Storytelling Association of California's SAC for Stories--a Community Conference on Sunday, October 15, at the Hotel Petaluma. Sessions include a panel discussion on the many kinds of stories, traditional tales for adults, Hodja tales, an invitational lunch for swap leaders, and a closing SAC concert. This ticket is included in the VIP Pass or you can purchase the all-day pass for only $30 AND you get a free one year membership to the Storytelling Association of CA.
